1. Diagnostics

Electromyography (EMG/NCV)

Measuring the electrical activity in muscles and nerves can help find diseases that damage muscle tissue or nerves. The results of EMG/NCV testing can be an invaluable tool for your doctor to determine various conditions that can affect your nerves and muscles, which will help them manage your care more effectively. EMG/NCV test is easy, reliable, and safe!

Musculoskeletal Ultrasound

Musculoskeletal ultrasound is noninvasive and offers real-time imaging, allowing for examinations of structures at rest and in motion. This ability to capture the movement of musculoskeletal components differentiates it from other imaging modalities and can permit more accurate diagnoses. MSK Ultrasound is an easy, reliable, and safe test!

Videonystagmography(VNG)

Physio Blend also offers advanced Vestibular Testing through Videonystagmography. This allows PTs to test how the inner-ear and central nervous system are functioning following an injury. If the inner-ear is damaged, this can affect an individual’s balance, resulting in dizziness or vertigo.

3. Functional Capacity Evaluations

A Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) evaluates an individual’s ability or disability to perform their work or active daily living activities.

Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) is based on the Dictionary of Occupational Titles-Residual Functional Capacity (DOT-RFC) Battery. The Dictionary of Occupational Titles (DOT) defines numerous job-related tasks and categorizes occupations into one of five progressively increasing strength classifications (sedentary, light, medium, heavy, and very heavy).

The DOT-RFC Battery tests over 30 different job-related tasks (such as climbing, balancing, stooping, crouching, crawling, walking, kneeling, etc.) that an individual may be required to perform for any given occupation.

The DOT-RFC Battery was created to measure the medical impairment of a person, express it in terms of functional limitations, and ultimately calculate the person’s actual work capacity.
